Why Do Businesses Need MVP or POC?
Almost constantly, we receive requests to add new unverified functions. Of course, before launching the product on the market, it needs to be made as bright and useful as possible. But in practice, most of the features that they come up with when developing a product are ultimately not used by users at all. Moreover, such features can reach up to 90%.
Before you spend time, effort and money on realizing your wonderful idea, it is best to test it for competitiveness before launching. In addition, this can be done even with a limited budget: Proof of Concepts will help you with this. With POC, you can confirm that people really need your product. It is not difficult to find the problem that your idea will solve, but it is much more difficult to find exactly the solution that people want.
And, conversely, a completely different solution is MVP. This allows you to find out how your target customers will react to your product before spending a ton of money on something they don’t need. This is, in fact, the minimum form of your complete decision. You should start MVP if you want to be convinced that the solution created by you is the decision that people want to buy.
You Need POC if
You need seed-stage funding
You have to check if the idea works, technically
You are aiming to share internal knowledge amongst team
You want to assess the potential success of the project or the feature
You Need POC if
You Need MVP if
You need to make money out of the application
You need a bug-free app ready to be used by the world
You need higher retention at low cost
You wish to know market perception to improve the application
